For the most comfortable fit, it's best to select the smallest size that meets fits your height and weight.
When should I size down? It is never recommended to size down below the height or weight cap. This risks general uncomfort and the tearing of seams during regular use. A person who is 5'10" tall and 185lbs fits within the weight cap for size Medium, but not within the height cap and should choose size Large.
When should I size up? Only if you are within 20lbs of a size's height cap and prefer a much baggier fit, but it is generally not recommended. Our onesies are naturally free-fitting are baggy as designed so long as you fall within the size's height and weight cap. A person who weighs 220lbs may choose to purchase size X-Large instead of size Large if they prefer a much baggier fit, although both will be fine.
What if my height and weight are in different categories? It is best to choose the larger of the two sizes. A person who is 5'4" and 260lbs should choose size X-Large, even if their height falls within size Small's height cap.
